The Immigrant Legal Advocacy Project (ILAP) is Maine’s only state-wide immigration legal services organization.
The City and pro bono lawyers hold monthly immigration legal aid clinics on the second Thursday of each month from 12-5 pm. Individuals may sign up for one time slot of one hour. Volunteer immigration lawyers can answer immigration questions about family-based immigration, Temporary Protected Status (TPS), work permits, the diversity lottery, naturalization to become a U.S. citizen, general questions about permanent residency, etc. - everything EXCEPT for asylum. Those with asylum questions or cases should contact ILAP. Reserve your time slot for the monthly clinic now.
