TPS Extended For El Salvador, Haiti, Honduras, Nicaragua, Nepal and Sudan

Información en español

TPS (Temporary Protected Status) holders from El Salvador, Haiti, Honduras, Nepal, Nicaragua and Sudan have automatic work authorization through October 4, 2021. If you re-registered for TPS from one of those countries during the last registration period, you have automatic work authorization through October 4, 2021.

You do NOT need to file an application or pay a fee for automatic work authorization. You can show your employer the Federal Register Notice to prove that your work authorization has been automatically extended through October 4, 2021.  You will also need to show your work permit from the last registration period, even if it has expired.

If you or your employer needs more information on your work eligibility, have them call Treva DeMaynadier at 207-699-4410.

Keep a copy of your work permit and a copy of the Federal Register Notice with you at all times. This is attached and can be found here: https://www.federalregister.gov/documents/2020/12/09/2020-27154/continuation-of-documentation-for-beneficiaries-of-temporary-protected-status-designations-for-el
