The City of Portland’s Natural Helpers Leadership Program is a nationwide best practice that the Office of Economic Opportunity is proud to launch on February 11th , 2020. Natural Helpers are community leaders who are often the go-to’s within their communities for a whole array of subjects and challenges. The program seeks to support and recognize the important work that these individuals are already doing. Out of 45 applicants, 15 were selected, with 10 countries of origin represented and 12 languages spoken.

Join us for We Are Portland - a celebration of our city’s diversity through music and dance. We will dance/walk through the streets of downtown Portland to global music, ending at Lincoln Park to continue the celebration with food, music & educational opportunities. The march will begin at 3:00 pm.

The first 100 registered will be guaranteed to receive a Welcoming Week t-shirt! However, all are welcome and there will also be day-of registration. Let's celebrate!
